The students shall do a major project during their fourth semester under a faculty guide, preferably in their area of specialization. Each student shall identify a managerial problem being faced by an organization and suggest solutions to the problem in a systematic manner. The student shall apply tools and techniques of research and present his/her report in a comprehensive manner for which 200 marks (8 credits) are allotted by the University. The duration of the study is eight weeks. The project report should have a minimum of 100 pages and should be submitted to the Head of the Institute. The Head of the institute shall send the projects to the Controller of Examinations for valuation. At the end of the fourth semester, each student shall attend a comprehensive viva-voce examination for which two credits are allotted. The institute encourages the students to undertake their internships in reputed companies located in India and abroad. Certain companies may conduct selection interviews for confirmation of internships for which the students may have to travel to different locations.
