Dr. Deepa Mohan joined Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) in August, 2022 and has over 15 years of teaching experience in the field of Engineering & Management and 3 years of industrial experience. She serves as a Professor in SIMS. She has done her Ph.D in the area of Organizational Behavior at the Department of Mechanical Engineering- Industrial Engineering and Management, National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC) in 2016. Her Ph. D is based on the thesis entitled “Development of Model for Estimation of Organizational Role Stress among IT Sector Employees - An Indian Study”. She has done Bachelor of Engineering- Civil Engineering from Hindustan College of Engineering, University of Madras in 1998. She did her MBA – Human Resource Development from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala in 2006 and M Tech. - Industrial Engineering and Management from Govt. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mahatma Gandhi University and secured first rank with honours in 2009. She is currently pursuing Masters of Science in Applied Psychology from Bharathiar University. Deepa started her teaching career from Government Engineering College, Thrissur and further served as a Lecturer in KMEA Engineering College Ernakulam, Senior Lecturer in IES College of Engineering Thrissur, Associate Professor in Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Thrissur, she also served as a resource person & Visiting Professor at Kerala Agricultural University, College of Co-Operation, Banking & Management, MBA (Agribusiness Management) Vellanikkara, Kerala. She was appointed as a Camp officer for Centralised Valuation Camp of APJAK Technological University Kerala in May 2018 and served the University for 3 years. She is a certified learning skills educator from Academy of Life Skills, completed 3 levels of certificate courses in specific learning difficulties. She is a passionate teacher working closely among students with learning disabilities to enhance their learning abilities. She was selected as a Mentor of Change for AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy , ATAL Tinkering Lab by NITI Aayog- (National Institution for Transforming India), Government of India in May 2018 to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. She has successfully completed Massive Open Online Courses offered by National Programme on Technology Enanced Learning (NPTEL), Swayam, Polytechnic West Australia, RMIT University Australia, Macquarie Graduate School of Management Australia.
