Research Shorts

The Research Cell at the Centre for Continuing Education is pleased to announce a series of research workshops called as “Research Shorts” designed to foster a culture of continuous learning and academic excellence. These workshops, each of short duration and focusing on specific, concise topics, will be held twice a month.

Objectives:

  1. Facilitate Discussions on Latest Research: To provide a platform for participants to discuss the latest trends, developments, and findings in various research fields.
  2. Review Presentations of Ph.D. Work: To offer Ph.D. candidates an opportunity to present their ongoing research, receive constructive feedback, and refine their work.
  3. Enhance Research Skills: To develop and enhance participants’ research skills through focused sessions on methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  4. Promote Collaborative Learning: Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers, faculty, and students from diverse disciplines.
  5. Support Professional Development: To contribute to the professional growth of researchers by keeping them updated with current academic and industry standards.

Activities:

  • Research Discussions: Interactive sessions where recent research articles and papers will be discussed, encouraging critical thinking and knowledge exchange.
  • Ph.D. Work Reviews: Dedicated slots for Ph.D. students to present their work-in-progress, followed by peer and expert reviews to provide valuable insights and suggestions.
  • Skill Development Workshops: Short training sessions on various research methodologies, data analysis tools, academic writing, and presentation skills.
  • Online / Offline Guest Lectures: Talks by esteemed researchers and industry professionals to share their experiences and knowledge on cutting-edge research topics.
  • Networking Opportunities: Informal networking sessions to build connections and foster collaborations among participants.

These workshops aim to create a dynamic and supportive environment for researchers to thrive, innovate, and contribute to the academic community. Coordinator & Beneficiaries

The Coordinator of the Centre for Continuing Education – Research Cell will be the coordinating Research Shorts. All the Faculty members and Research Scholars of Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies will be the beneficiaries of this programme.
