Mr. Babu K A, Executive Vice President (Retd), Federal Bank, has four decades of successful commercial banking experience. He has been heading various verticals that include Retail Business and Digital Banking. He has been a well-rated Credit underwriter. He has exhibited excellent leadership capabilities both in people management and business development. He has been a successful faculty within the Bank and other reputed management schools.
He has introduced a couple of new products in the banking industry for which he has received accolades in India and abroad.
Mr. Babu is a triple postgraduate – MBA (Marketing), M Com (Financial Management) and MA (Literature) – and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute Bankers (CAIIB). He is a gold medalist in Law. He has undergone leadership trainings in coveted management institutions in the country that include Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) and Indian Institute of Management (Kozhikode). He has also trained at Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning (CAFRAL – RBI), and Institute of Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDBRT -RBI).

Mr. Babu is a writer and regular contributor to the media on banking and finance. He has authored two books – Mazhameghangalkku Mele and Pencil Kondezhuthiya Cheque. His YouTube channel – Banking Simplified – is widely watched and appreciated.

Mr. Babu is a member of Advisory Board of Myfin Global Finance Media and a life member of Thrissur Management Association (TMA). He is Chief Editor of TMA house magazine, Management Voice, and a resource person for Student Chapter project of the Association.
