As part of World Environment Day 2026, Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) organized the inauguration of The Millet Village Café and a Campus Tree Drive on 5 June 2026.

The Millet Village Café initiative promotes healthy food choices, rural empowerment, and sustainable development by supporting women entrepreneurs and traditional millet-based food culture. The event also featured a tree-planting drive aimed at fostering environmental awareness and strengthening SIMS’ commitment to sustainability.

The programmes were inaugurated by Ms. Daisy Varghese, Member, Aloor Grama Panchayathu (Ward 2). The initiative reflects SIMS’ dedication to environmental stewardship, community engagement, and sustainable development.
