Prof. Justin Paul

Dean – Research (Hon.) PhD, Ph.D, D.Sc, Hon Ph.D

Dr. Justin Paul holds four Doctoral Degrees. Ph.D in Marketing from the University of Brighton, England;  Ph.D in International Business from IIT Bombay, and two honorary Doctorates. Dr. Paul holds the worldwide first rank in Business Administration as an author in the Last 5 years category based on the Geometric Mean Index of Publications, Citations, and H Index weighted for the number of co-authors (Scholar GPS).   A former faculty member of the University of Washington, and former Provost &  Dean of the AACSB & EQUIS accredited NMIMS University,  he is a professor of PhD & MBA programs at the University of Puerto Rico, USA and holds honorary positions as Dean-Research, Sahrdaya Institute of Management studies, Kerala; Distinguished Research Fellow at Corvinus University of Budapest and adjunct Professor at Korea University.  He served as Chief Editor of the International Journal of Consumer Studies (IJCS) for 6 years from January 2020 to December 2025 and transformed the journal into a Q1 journal on Web of Science and Scopus. He held distinguished visiting professor positions at several universities, including the University of Reading, UK, for 3 years, Lebanese American University, University of Versailles, France, University of Warsaw, Katowice University, Poland, University of Porto, Portugal, and IIM Kozhikkode, Kerala.  He has taught full courses at Aarhus University, Denmark, Grenoble Ecole de Management- France, Warsaw School of Economics, ISM Lithuania, and ELTE Budapest.  He has been a regular visiting professor and invited speaker at the University of Chicago, MIT, Boston, Deakin University & University of Queensland-in Australia  University of Ljubljana, Slovenia,  IE- Madrid,  WU-Vienna,  Universities in Japan, Korea, Poland, Portugal, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Croatia, Greece, England, Kosovo, Spain, and France.

His citations are increasing at a record rate of 1200 per month, with an H Index of 104 and an I10 Index of 211. He has served as a European EQUIS Accreditation Judging committee member of ICN France and UPF-Barcelona School of Management, Spain, MBA Director & AACSB Co-ordinator at Nagoya University, Japan, and as Department Chair & Director-Executive Education at IIM. Dr. Paul introduced the Masstige model and measure for branding, the CPP Model for internationalization, the SCOPE framework for small firms, the 7-P Framework for International Marketing, and the TCCM Framework & SPAR-4-SLR for literature reviews.  He has serves/ed as keynote speaker at 500+  conferences, including UVSQ -France, EMOK-Hungary, KSMS-Korea, Polish academy, AEMARK-Spain, Fudan & UIBE-China, UAB- Barcelona and Madrid, IE & CEU Madrid, Uni of Valencia, Istanbul University, and often in India. He has published three best-selling case studies with Ivey & Harvard. He is known as an author/co-author of books such as Business Environment, International Marketing, Services Marketing, Export-Import Management, and Management of Banking & Financial Services, published by McGraw-Hill, Oxford University Press & Pearson, respectively. Dr. Paul, hailed as the Father of Modern Systematic Literature Reviews,  was an Associate Editor with European Management Journal (7 years), the Journal of Business Research, European Management Review, and Journal of Strategic Marketing for 3 years each.
