Deepthy K Kumar is an accomplished Management academic with over 14 years of teaching experience and industry exposure. She is currently serving as Assistant Professor at Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies, Thrissur, affiliated to the University of Calicut. She has recently submitted her Ph.D. thesis in Management to Annamalai University, with a research focus on Cyberloafing and Digital Workplace Behaviour.

She holds an MBA with specialisation in HR and Marketing and a B.Tech in Polymer Technology. Her core areas of expertise include Human Resource Management, Research Methodology, Business Environment, Performance Management, and Sustainability Studies. She adopts Outcome-Based Education (OBE), case-based learning, business simulations, and research-oriented pedagogy to enhance students’ analytical and managerial competencies.

She has actively contributed to academic leadership and quality initiatives, including NBA accreditation processes, IQAC, curriculum development, and institutional governance. She has served in various roles such as IQAC Joint Coordinator, Cambridge Language certification course Coordinator, Women Cell Coordinator, Equal Opportunity Cell Coordinator, PTA Secretary, and Batch Coordinator.

She has published research articles in reputed journals and presented papers at national and international conferences, primarily focusing on cyberloafing, digital distractions, and workplace behaviour. Her academic mission is to foster research excellence, strengthen employability skills among management students, and contribute to continuous institutional development and quality enhancement
